“Today I will be sharing the wonderful glamping experience my friend and I had the pleasure of indulging in for two nights whilst we were in Thailand, on the Island of Phuket. Firstly I don’t think anyone who plans a trip to Thailand thinks of Glamping – it is almost always about more of the luxury villas and resorts displayed all over social media. This experience was different and just what we needed after the adventure filled week of paragliding, visiting Phi Phi Islands, snorkeling, visiting Banana beach where we kayaked, jet skied as well as partied on Bangla Road for five days straight. It offers the tranquility one needs after a week of flat out partying.

Roost Glamping is situated in Rawai Beach which is 37KM from Phuket Airport, and around 600 Baht (R300) from Patong beach – the drive there is so serene you can’t help but reflect on all that life has to offer. This Slightly remote eco-friendly tented accommodation has 22 tents that are surrounded by lush green trees and is a walking distance from Yanui beach which is nice to take a dip in and looks like a private beach. Rawai is a part of Phuket that has cool bars, restaurants and pretty views but the beauty of booking at Roost glamping is that one can get all of the above on site.

Upon arrival we received excellent service and got the opportunity to choose a tent of our choice, the bed was very comfortable, the linen extremely clean and the tent well
maintained. Coming from a country that is not safe one will always have concerns about safety – but my friend and I felt extremely safe, the property has security and the whole
environment is generally safe. Another thing we really loved is the fact that Roost glamping is the best place to meet other travelers because of the overall ambiance – and friendly atmosphere, I would say every solo traveler looking to meet people should try it, couples will love the intimate setting and groups of friends will love how accessible each tent is to one another. This newly built establishment gives off a very unique experience and the food is always fresh. Very well executed – i mean who doesn’t like an overall affordable experience where you are treated like a queen.

Roost glamping was truly the most perfect introduction to glamping. All the amenities one needs such as plugs, wifi, fan, towels, umbrella and Mojito’s are available on site. If you want ice all you do is request it from the bar, hiring a scooter is even easier – Nothing felt like a mission to obtain. The facilities are out of this world for semi-camping, I really loved the water pressure from the bamboo shower, had their fresh chicken wings for breakfast, lunch and supper, I had the best mojito in all of Thailand and the most important thing was that the tents are spacious, have a fan inside and that made the whole experience worth writing about.

I would definitely go back just to relax in the pool and to experience the most friendliest of hosts. Every staff member was extremely helpful. We stayed for two nights and the treatment we received from the different staff members was very consistent, If you know me you know that I am a big fan of consistency. I would definitely recommend it for a two night stay away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket’s city central. At many points on this trip I had moment where I was like – this can’t be real, there’s no way this is my reality right now. This experience really reminded me to drink lots of water, save money and continue being my adventurous self.”

“I was living my best solo trip through Thailand and almost at the end of the trip, I was looking for a place able to relax my mind and body in Rawai, this is how I found Roost Glamping.

I have been sleeping here just two nights, and after a month I still think that those nights were among the most relaxing in my whole trip. Before getting in touch with them, I was looking for an accommodation, but I wanted a peculiar one, not the normal hotel or guesthouse… And what was better than a tent?

The very first moment I was arrived at the camping, I felt an incredible relaxing atmosphere, it was so nice, it was everything I needed. I spend two days in a private tent, with all the equipments I needed. Separated from the nature just from a zip, I could feel everything.

The tent was really comfortable, moreover I had everything inside the camping: swimming pool, restaurant and trip desk.

I used all of these services, because I was feeling that good at the Roost Glamping that I didn’t need to leave it! Just to take a walk and go to the sea.

The pool is an infinity pool, very clean and perfectly placed in the natural context. The restaurant of the camping is the only restaurant I tried during my whole trip! Breakfast, lunch and dinner! Every meal was so good and tasty. Moreover, it is surrounded by amazing nature.

No, I am not forgetting about the staff, a special mention goes to all the people who work there. Always smiling and very kind to me. One more reason to come back!”

“My Roost Glamping experience was so special and exactly what I was after for a quick weekend getaway from Singapore. I was looking for accommodation that felt peaceful with a little bit of a ‘back to nature’ vibe, well out of the hustle and bustle of central Phuket, whilst still accessible from the airport and easy to reach/get around.

The space itself is stunning, thoughtfully put together and almost quaint. I was lucky enough too stay in one of the Tikoakao Private Ensuite tents, which was immaculately clean and so pretty! The mattress is super firm (fabulous for your back!) but something to keep in mind if you prefer a squishy bed. The private bamboo en-suite was fitted with brand new shower/loo etc and also spotless. While I used the aircon both nights of my two night stay, I think I could have gone without- the tents are cool and airy.

The central cafe/pool/seating area is a great size, and again, immaculately clean, providing a warm and welcoming space to chill by yourself or mingle with other guests. The food options are a little limited in the Rawai township (especially if you’re vegan/vegetarian) but the onsite cafe is unbelievably good with a really inclusive menu. The smoothie bowls are a must try!

Location is perfect. A two minute scooter roll down the hill or ten minute walk to the beach, and so peaceful. It’s also only an hour and twenty minute taxi from Phuket Airport to Roost. The staff are gorgeous and extremely helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my little visit and will absolutely be back!”

“Roost Glamping is certainly not to be missed when visiting Phuket, even if you live in Phuket like myself. I had never been Glamping before, and have been camping once or twice so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The location is ideal for Glamping – secluded enough to feel private amongst nature, but still within walking distance to nearby stores and livelier areas. The property is extremely clean, and beautiful to walk around everywhere (a photographers/instagrammers dream).

A typical day consisted of waking up to birds chirping, plenty of delicious breakfast options at their café from the big brekky to healthy smoothie bowls (or even Thai food). The atmosphere was super relaxing with chill music, and a variety of in house guests – couples, families, groups of friends and solo backpackers. The design of the place makes sure it never feels too busy or crowded, and it’s easy for guests to socialize and make friends. Most of our stay, we would hang out in the café with cocktails/smoothies, appetizers and play cards or games provided. Between that and floating in the beautiful swimming pool set by rocks & tropical plants, it’s hard not to feel like a winner finding this incredible place. Every evening had peaceful sunsets, and going to sleep in the tent was spacious, cosy and an exciting experience.

On one of the days, we rented their electric bikes to get to Yanui Beach and Promthep Cape viewpoint. They were easy to use (you can practice nearby first before renting) and a fun way to see the area. They can also help book local activities for tourists like Island Tours, Snorkelling/Diving, Cooking class etc. There is a noticeboard near reception with all the information. The staff make you feel very welcome, and are extremely helpful & friendly from check in to check out.

After staying with my boyfriend, I have returned a number of times with family and friends who have equally loved Roost, especially dining for breakfast, lunch & dinner as all the food I’ve tried so far has been excellent and best in the area! I can definitely see this spot being a great choice for birthdays, special occasions, date night or simply a relaxing day out. Highly recommend and you won’t be disappointed! 😊

So picture this for a second…you wake up from the sound of the birds, zip open your tent and walk about 5 steps into your personal open roofed ensuite bathroom, turning the rain shower on and looking straight up at the blue sky (sounds like a dream right?!) This is just an example of the many pleasures Roostglamping has to offer!

In all honesty this place was a dream come true for us! Neither of us had ever experienced glamping before and this place has certainly set the bar high!

Situated in Phuket, Thailand close to beaches, cafes and shops however the camp itself is surrounded by greenery, giving complete privacy and allowing you to truly connect with nature!

Alongside the tents you also have an infinity pool, restaurant and the cutest camp fire we got to toast marshmallows around (can you think of anything sweeter than that…)

Now I have to just mention more about the restaurant for a sec, honestly we still daydream about the food here on a daily basis! When I say it was out of this world I really do mean it! The chefs here are seriously talented with an option of an all day breakfast, vegan friendly meals, thai classics, and a variety of desserts.

The staff are so welcoming and kind, happy to help at any moment! All in all this place was truly amazing and a must go to place if you are ever in Phuket.

We just wished we could have stayed there longer…there’s always next time!!”

“This is a wonderful place to unwind or baser yourself. Staff were so welcoming & helpful, the whole location spotlessly clean, which with some outside/shared bathrooms is hard to find. The tent (shared basic) was very comfortable, didn’t get hot during the night despite no air con & it was of high quality with built in Mosquito nets which was great. The grounds & pool are delightful & you can easily spend a day staying in the property grounds…. however to get & about they have free electric bikes to use which is wonderful. Having only spent 1 night I could happily stayed longer.”
